Talk & Build offers a range of services that are committed to maximising an individual’s speech, language and communication skills. This includes actively encouraging parents to be involved in therapy sessions and sharing information with education and other professionals working with your child.

Fees for all services are as follows:

– FREE 15 minute telephone consultation

– £115 per 60 minute session*

– £75 per 30 minute session*

* Rates include travel for sessions that take place within 15 miles of my home address in St Leonards On Sea.  If you live outside of this 15 mile area, please do get in touch to discuss travel charges.

Services available include:

Initial Speech and Language Therapy Assessment
A full case history, observation and assessment of your child’s speech, language and communication skills.

Speech and Language Therapy Report 
A report detailing your child’s speech, language and communication strengths and needs. It will include recommended strategies to support your child’s communication which can be shared with education staff and other professionals working with your child.

Individual Therapy Sessions
These are tailored to your child’s specific speech, language and communication needs. It will also include a discussion with parent/carer(s) and/or professionals to model activities and provide advice.

LEGO Therapy sessions
The use of LEGO as a structured therapy tool has been researched and shown to be an effective tool for developing social communication skills. From experience it can also be used to develop language, for example word concepts. Group sessions are available to be run at home with family members, with a minimum of 3 participants.

LEGO Therapy Training
A bespoke presentation and/or workshop can be offered for training groups of professionals or parent/carer(s). This training will be tailored to the specific groups training requirements and take in to account their current experience levels.

Cancellation policy

Therapy appointments: Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation of any therapy appointments. Any appointments with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for.

Training sessions: Please give a minimum of seven days notice for cancellation of any training sessions.  Any appointments cancelled with less than one weeks notice will incur a 50% training charge. Any training sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will incur the full training charge.
